On our scenic cruises, Steamship S/S Kouta cruises along River Kajaaninjoki and passes by some beautiful historical landscapes on Lake Oulujärvi.
We pass by Tihisenniemi, Aurala, Lukkarinnurmi and, finally reaching the open Lake Oulujärvi. As we return towards the pier, we pass by Hövelönlahti, the grounds where Elias Lönnrot finished Finland’s national epic Kalevala and Eino Leino grew up as a young poet.
The steamship bar is open during the cruise and you can choose a seat on the back deck under a roof, on the open front deck or inside the salon.
