Launched at the beginning of 2025, Arctic Lakeland’s dynamic travel platform has now been expanded with brand-new and updated winter packages for the 2025–2026 season.
Operating under the Arctic Lakeland brand, the destinations of Paljakka, Kuhmo, Vuokatti and Kajaani are broadening their tourism offering, with new products now available through the dynamic travel platform. A total of seven winter packages are on sale, offering travellers even more diverse ways to experience the winter nature and activities of the Kainuu region. The packages are designed for international customers and are available on Arctic Lakeland’s English-language website.
The dynamic travel marketplace packages are aimed at independent international travellers who value convenience and well-rounded experiences. Booking and payment are easy and can be completed directly on the Arctic Lakeland website with just a few clicks. The new packages complement the existing selection by introducing fresh alternatives. The service has been developed in collaboration with Elämys Group as part of the Arctic Lakeland Charter Project.

Four New Ways to Experience the Winter Magic of Kainuu
The new and updated winter packages offer diverse opportunities to discover the natural beauty and authentic experiences of Kainuu. The four-day Kajaani–Oulujärvi Winter Adventure – Snowshoeing, Reindeers and Igloo Experience combines tranquillity, reindeer encounters, and a night under the stars in a glass igloo by Lake Oulujärvi.

The five-day Vuokatti Winter Dream – Huskies, Snowmobiles and Snowshoes offer an active winter holiday filled with husky rides, snowmobile safaris and snowshoeing adventures amid the stunning landscapes of Vuokatti. The four-day Vuokatti Winter Escape – Snowy Thrills and Wonders is an easily accessible winter getaway that combines outdoor activities with relaxation in the heart of snowy nature – a perfect choice for a shorter Arctic break. The seven-day Snowy Adventure Escape takes travellers deep into the tranquil wilderness of Kuhmo, where private luxury meets authentic Arctic experiences – from snowmobiling and ice fishing on frozen lakes to unwinding in a private lakeside sauna surrounded by serene nature.

Developing Tourism in Kainuu through Collaboration
The dynamic travel marketplace has been implemented as part of the development work of the Arctic Lakeland Charter Project. The project is managed by the Municipality of Sotkamo and funded by Sotkamo, the Regional Council of Kainuu (ERDF), and the cities of Kajaani and Kuhmo. This initiative strengthens Kainuu’s position as an attractive travel destination in international markets and provides more easily bookable services for global customers.
