The exhibition by German artist Angela Glajcar will be on display at the Kajaani Art Museum from October 2, 2025 to January 10, 2026.

In Glajcar’s works, paper is a sculptural material which is related to its environment through a continuous dialogue with space and light. The artist uses paper to create spatial installations and monumental works that are simultaneously still translucent and light.

Glajcar studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg 1991–1998. After graduation she made large-scale steel and wood sculptures, but quickly transitioned to using collage as her technique.

Nowadays Glajcar uses paper as the material for her sculptures, and at times also fibreglass and synthetic materials.

The exhibition is a collaboration with Imatra Art Museum and their patron museum grant from Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation. The exhibition was curated by Imatra Art Museum Curator Sanna Ojanne.
