Spend a night in a Bear photography hide at Martinselkonen, taking amazing pictures. Martinselkonen Wilds Centre has hides that are especially designed to the needs of photographers. These hides are for 1 or 2 persons and are located in different locations at forest, swamp and pond. The hides have 6-photography holes, a seat, a bed and a toilet bucket with a lid.
The excursion time is from 4 p.m. till 7 a.m. next morning, luckily Finnish summer nights are very bright. Different seasons offer different things for photographers: we start with bears during snow season in April, then it is bears’ mating season in May and it is possible to see territorial fights and mating. In June there is a good chance for watching bear cubs and in the end of June cotton flowers give nice background. July is a good time for seeing bears swimming and August brings mist to the pond.
