Day 2 - Vuokatti
Today is your first full day in the exciting Vuokatti region, part of the stunning Arctic Lakeland. After enjoying a healthy and delicious breakfast, it’s time to gear up for your first adventure.
You’ll be exploring the beautiful winter wonderland on eFatbike, a bike with extra-wide tires and an electric engine designed to make cycling through snowy forest trails both effortless and enjoyable. As you ride through the snow-covered landscape, you’ll be surrounded by serene beauty. Remember to stop to admire the stunning views, and of course, capture photos of the breathtaking scenery.
In the afternoon and evening, enjoy some free time to unwind at your own pace.
Day 3 - Vuokatti
The Vuokatti area offers endless activity options, and one of the highlights of your travel package is a visit to the Katinkulta Spa. There are several pools suitable for children, a water slide, outdoor pool, a sauna section with a Roman pool, and an atmospheric smoke sauna and pond for a truly atmospheric experience. After your adventures in the snowy outdoors, the warmth of the sauna world will be the perfect way to relax and finish the day. While it may be freezing cold outside, inside Katinkulta Spa, surrounded by palm trees, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to the tropics. You can book a lesson at the ski school, where experienced instructors will guide you. If the slopes feel a bit too adventurous, you can try cross-country skiing. Enjoy a beautiful winter wonderland as you glide through peaceful forests filled with snow-covered trees all around you. Day 5 - Transfer from Vuokatti to Paljakka
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to your next destination: Paljakka. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and settle in before embarking on your first adventure in this winter wonderland!
Your day kicks off with a guided trip to a Reindeer Farm and a frozen waterfall. During your visit, you will learn all about reindeer and the traditions of reindeer herding from an authentic reindeer herder. You’ll even get the chance to feed the reindeer. A lunch is included during this tour.
On your way back, there will be a stop at Hepoköngäs Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Finland, with a stunning 24-meter drop. In winter, the waterfall transforms into a mesmerizing frozen wall of ice—a true winter wonderland sight. Hepoköngäs is perfect for those who want to witness the beauty of a frozen waterfall without a long hike.
Day 6 - Paljakka
If you wish to sleep in today, there’s no rush, as your day begins with plenty of time to relax. Your first activity starts in the afternoon, and it’s one of the most beloved winter experiences in Paljakka – Visiting a husky farm and trying dog sledding!
Meet the friendly, energetic huskies and learn about their daily life on the farm. You’ll have the chance to cuddle with these adorable dogs and capture some heartwarming photos for memories. Then, sit back and enjoy the snowy forest views as your guide takes you on a 2 km ride through the trails on a husky sledge.
After this exiting experience, enjoy some free time in the afternoon before it is time for your following adventure.
As night falls, your next adventure begins: the Winter Nights Snowmobile Tour. After putting on thermal overalls and receiving safety instructions and driving basics, you’ll be ready to venture into the Paljakka wilderness. Guided by experts, you’ll ride along a well-groomed track through the darkness, making your way to the top of a nearby hill that stands 320 meters above sea level, offering fantastic photo opportunities. On a clear winter night, admire the stars and, with some luck, also the Northern Lights.
Day 7 - Paljakka
Today, you’ll have plenty of free time to spend as you wish. Whether you choose to embark on another snowmobile safari to conquer the hills of Paljakka or simply relax and unwind in the cozy comfort of your accommodation, the day is yours. There are various activity options in Paljakka – Rent a bike or snowshoes and explore the scenic nature around you.

Katinkulta Spa has several child-friendly pools, water slides, a sauna area with Roman-style pools, and a cozy smoke sauna by a pond where you can swim even in winter. The water currents and caves in the pool area inspire to play, and the wooden bridges connecting the pools amidst palm trees provide the perfect setting for a playful adventure.
Visit Reindeer Farm & Frozen Waterfall
A reindeer is a half-wild, exotic animal that many people would like to see with their own eyes. Paljakka lies within the southernmost reindeer husbandry area in Finland, where an experienced guide will take you to visit a reindeer farm. During this program, you’ll learn about reindeer and reindeer husbandry from a genuine reindeer herder. You can also participate in feeding the reindeer.
