There are four marked trails in Kivesvaara, each of which has its own special destination. The trails also include a two-kilometre accessible route.
- Accessible route 2 km back and forth
- Kantola round trail 6 km
- Louhos round trail 7.6 km
- Kuru trail 9.9 or 14 km
The trails are suitable for day hikes or you can combine them for a much longer hike. The trails also provide plenty of challenges to mountain biking enthusiasts. At the top of Kivesvaara, there is an information board, a hut and a toilet. Building a fire is not permitted outside the Kivesvaara campfire hut.
Kivesvaara was selected as the hiking destination of the year in 2014. The Arctic Giant provides accommodation and catering services.
