The beautiful scenery covered with a mantle of dazzling white snow, the crackling frost and the magical winter darkness create a special atmosphere for the New Year’s celebrations. Wild Taiga is dominated by taiga forests, frozen lakes and its misty blue hills, area is one of Finland’s best known regions for guaranteed snow fall throughout the winter season. On the New Year’s Eve, we will celebrate with a special dinner before watching fireworks and raising a toast for the New Year.

30.12. SLEIGH DRIVES
– Breakfast.
– In the morning short introductory rides – try husky, reindeer, and horse rides.
– After lunch possibility to visit Kuhmo town: sightseeing, shopping, and having coffee. Transportation for an additional fee.
– Later in the afternoon Meet Santa tour. Santa Claus has a residence in Kuhmo and after a busy Christmas he is now well rested and welcoming guests to see his office (extra price 79 €/person).

31.12. SNOWMOBILING

– Enjoy a thrilling 2 hours snowmobile safari through snowy trails.

– Evening festivities include traditional Finnish tin casting, a galadinner, live music/DJ, and a midnight celebration to welcome the New Year.

– Possibility to add extra days or shorten the program
– Please take a look at list of optional activities; snowmobiling, husky safaris, cross country skiing, ice-fishing, rapid swimming etc.
– Also wellbeing treatments are available: worth trying is definitely our peat sauna and traditional Finnish bone setting. After these two try also herbal jacuzzi, classical massage and peat treatments.
– For those who are interested also in history and culture we have plenty to offer: Winter War Museum, Juminkeko – cultural centre for Kalevala – national epic of Finland and Karelian culture, Petola Nature Centre with exhibition of Finland´s large carnivores (brown bear, lynx, wolverine, wolf) and many exhibitions in the town.
