Special wolverine winter tour

Special Wolverine Tour offers you the possibility to concentrate on photographing this rare and magnificient mammal. In winter, before late April, bears are not yet around, which gives space and time for the wolverine to enjoy the hide area, without the stress of being disturbed by other predators.

We stay in a hide for about 5-7 hours. In the evening, when it gets dark, we can also try to see the northern lights.

6 days/5 nights or 8 days/7 nights

Wolverine is an arctic loner, a solitary and rare mammal, active all year around. From a special hide designed for photographing, we will get the possibility to watch and to photograph the wolverine in his natural environment. The season is from February to October. From February to the beginning of May, the wolverine can be observed and photographed in snowy landscape.

Every year, up to 3 wolverines have been seen and photographed from these hides. In March white tailed eagles have been active around hides. From about 20th April, also bears might make a visit.

This gives space and time for the wolverine to enjoy the hide area without the stress of being disturbed by other predators.White tailed eagles and others birds are also actif around the hides.

6 days/5 nights  or 8 days/7 nights package.

The hides will be used in daytime (starting early morning). In the evening you will have the possibility to photograph for example northern lights in Lentiira, where your accommodation is. There you can also photograph red squirrels and different birds, which are fed through the whole winter.

First evening you will be welcomed in Lentiira with information about the program and a dinner.

Daily program starts with breakfast and a car drive to the hides with our photography equipment. The hides are less that one kilometer walk from the car. We will have sledges to carry equipment and use snowshoes if needed (included). The hides are equipped with beds, dry toilet and a heater. In the afternoon we will come back to the accommodation for a nice meal.

During your stay there might be also possibilities to spot and to photograph other animals, like wild forest reindeers and owls.
