TUI Netherlands to continue flights from Amsterdam to Arctic Lakeland and Kuusamo in winter 2026

TUI, the world’s largest tour operator, will continue to operate charter flights from Amsterdam to Kajaani next winter 2026.

TUI will operate charter flights on a triangle route from Amsterdam to Kajaani and on to Kuusamo and back to Amsterdam. The flights will offer passengers the same number of seats to Kajaani and Kuusamo, but the number of seats on the routes will vary according to demand. The flights will be operated by 189-seat aircraft from 16 January until 13 March 2026. The arrival date for passengers will be Fridays, in line with the 2025 winter flights. TUI’s decision to continue charter flights to Kajaani next winter is proof of the strong interest in the Finnish winter season in Europe.

Arctic Lakeland strives to improve the region’s accessibility to key foreign markets – especially those in Central and Southern Europe and the UK. Improving accessibility is a necessary condition for Arctic Lakeland Finland to take full advantage of ongoing and forthcoming development efforts, e.g. in terms of tourism investments. There is room for international growth and the availability of flights will directly affect the demand for tourism entrepreneurs’ products and thus sales,” says Aija Laukkanen, CEO of Vuokatin Matkailukeskus Ltd.

– For next winter, the number of charter flights to Kajaani Airport and Arctic Lakeland is currently confirmed to increase to at least 18 flights. Our growth has been strong,” says Aija Laukkanen.
